How PRESTIGEMARK Reviews collects, uses and protects personal data, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who controls your data
The data controller is PRESTIGEMARK Reviews, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, email hello@prestigemark.co.uk with "Data protection" in the subject line.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us. If you use our contact form or email us: your name, email address, chosen topic, your message and your age confirmation.
- Technical information. Collected automatically by our server: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps. Used for security, fraud prevention and keeping the website available.
- Optional analytics. Only if you accept optional cookies: aggregate, non-identifying statistics about which pages are read. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not ask for and do not want financial details, identity documents, gambling account credentials or special category data. Please never send them to us. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your message — legitimate interests (responding to a request you made).
- To keep the website secure and available — legitimate interests (network and information security).
- To measure readership and advertising performance — your consent, given through the cookie prompt and withdrawable at any time.
- To meet legal obligations — where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
4. What we never do
We never sell personal data. We never pass your details to a gambling operator unless you explicitly ask us to. We do not build advertising profiles about individuals, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
5. Who we share with
Only with service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our hosting provider, our email provider, and — if you consented — our analytics and advertising-measurement providers. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.
6. International transfers
Our hosting is in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to keep protection equivalent.
7. How long we keep it
Contact-form correspondence: up to 24 months from your last message. Server logs: up to 12 months. Consent records: 6 months (until the cookie prompt is shown again). We delete or anonymise data once the purpose is met.
8. Your rights
You have the right to be informed, and to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise a right, email hello@prestigemark.co.uk. We respond within one month and we do not charge a fee for a reasonable request.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Access to correspondence is limited to editorial staff who need it, and we review our providers' security arrangements. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents by email.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed; material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
